Chambres d'hôtes chez Martine

The hostess was so friendly, and she speaks good German too. The room and bedding were clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet at night. The little teddy bear on the bed was adorable, and the room brought back memories of the rooms my grandmother used to rent out years ago. There’s a shared bathroom and toilet, and the breakfast was decent for the price: two kinds of bread, jam, cheese, butter, coffee or tea, a croissant, and fruit bread. Right after I booked, the landlady contacted me to make sure I knew about the shared facilities, the 6 pm to 8 pm check-in window, and the fact that the property is 1.5 km from the town center. I hadn’t had that happen before and found it really considerate. I suspect past guests may have caused problems, even though all of this is already clear in the description. I understand why it would be unpleasant for the landlady if people complained or decided not to stay, and her message showed me she genuinely cares about guests having a good visit. The building is noisy, and you can hear ordinary household sounds, so earplugs are a good idea. There’s no parking at the property, but you can find some a few hundred meters away. The host apologized for not telling me about that before I arrived, which she normally should have done. I thought it was kind of her to say so, since the local situation isn’t something she can control. Excellent value for money, and I’d definitely come back!
