The location was great, and the hotel was quiet and clean, with a good breakfast and secure bike storage. But our room was painted dark blue on all four walls, which made it feel oppressive and dull. Maybe we were just unlucky, but the place looked nothing like the photos people had posted online. I wouldn't say to avoid staying here, just try not to get the blue room.

The receptionist was incredibly helpful when we arrived with a punctured tyre, even contacting a friend to get a new inner tube. The old building is fabulous, the room was lovely, and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend.

The place sits on an amazing square, with old characterful buildings and hardly any cars. Wandering around, you can really feel the history. We were so glad we'd booked here. We got an exceptional welcome, and there is secure parking for bikes and cars. The rooms are full of character and really comfortable.

Set on the edge of a square in the centre of Beaugency, this hotel makes a great base for exploring the region. It's a beautiful little medieval town on the Loire. Parking is included, and there's a swimming pool too. The team gave us a warm welcome and went out of their way to make us comfortable, including using Google Translate and printing information to help with our needs. Our rooms in the period building were clean, spacious and comfortable. What a gem.
