Hôtel des Tonneliers

I’ve stayed here four times over the past two years and am already looking forward to coming back. It’s a delightful hotel, an easy walk from the center. The room was warm, the bed comfortable, and there was both a great shower and a bath. The staff are lovely, and breakfast is very good. Thank you.

Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely, with fresh bread and pastries, honey, jam, cereal, and boiled eggs. We’d booked it in advance. We had a great night’s sleep on this quiet, peaceful street, and the receptionist was really helpful and friendly when we arrived around 8pm. Our family room was brilliant, with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. They even provided a full-size travel cot for my toddler, which was amazing since the small square ones we usually get don’t fit my child. The service was fantastic, the accommodation felt above what I’d expect for three stars, and the central location was handy for restaurants and the hospice. We stayed one night on a road trip and would stop here whenever we pass through. Just perfect, thank you!

I slept so well here, thanks to the super-soft bed and fluffy pillows. The hotel is just off a quiet side street but close to town. It’s a historic building with a lovely mix of old and new. The room had a hair dryer, a huge TV with Netflix, robes, slippers, a rain shower, coffee and tea maker, and a fridge. The air conditioner was excellent too. I’d definitely come back.

The rooms are quiet, but the place feels like a two-star hotel, with no service and an overlooked feel compared with its nearby sister hotel, which is close to four stars. It’s overpriced.
