We liked having two rooms, since the teenager could sleep in a separate room next door. The bathroom is reached through the single room. Our host, Jean-Pierre, spoke English with us. The town is within walking distance, which suited me as I like to have a drink with dinner. Breakfast had a good range of continental options, including delicious jams made locally. A delightful stay.

The breakfast had croissants, bread, meats, yogurts and more, with homemade jams from a local elderly lady. The shower was a real treat, the bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of sockets and good wifi. The room was beautifully decorated, with lots of original features. We stayed in a family room with its own bathroom and, wonderfully, a separate room for our 15 year old son. Jean-Pierre was a marvellous host. Do take a look at the scrapbook he put together about the renovations and the local area. Street parking is available outside the B&B. We walked into town, about 1.5-2 miles, and found a good, inexpensive place to eat, Boui boui. The town is fascinating, as much of it was destroyed by fire in June 1940. There was more information in the 'library' in our room. This lovely little place was just what we needed on the way from the Tunnel to our destination further south. I want to give it more than 5 stars!

The art deco tiles on the front of the house are beautiful, and the house itself has been kept so well. Jean-Pierre is a true gentleman and a fantastic host. With its cosy old house and warm hospitality, the stay felt like a trip back in time. Strongly recommend it if you want to experience France at its best.
