Hôtel Régina

The location is excellent, and the hotel has both dining and a spa. The building feels somewhat outdated, with a stale smell in some rooms and corridors and details here and there that need renovating.

This building may have had a glorious past, but it's become a naff hotel. The rooms are very small and packed with huge furniture. There's no AC, just a fan, and the carpet was dirty throughout. The bathroom had broken floor tiles and cheap fittings. Reception staff had a lot of attitude and weren't helpful. They're behind a glass screen from the COVID era, though some customers can get aggressive too. You also have to buy a swimming pool ticket for €36, which includes the jacuzzi and the hamman even if you don't want them. We didn't use the restaurant. Nearby, Cote Sable is a beautiful place with a great bunch of people, food and atmosphere.

The people were nice and the location is good. It was clean, though the rooms are a bit small. Breakfast is very continental, with no bacon, sausage or beans, and a game on the pool table costs 2€, which felt a bit steep.

The room was the best part: nice, though it wasn't very clean. Getting here, the parking spot we were assigned was impossible to get into, so we had to leave the car on the roadside. Breakfast cost €9 per person, including the children, and there was only bread and dry ham. The coffee was undrinkable. It's the worst hotel breakfast I've had. The children were told the night before that they could use the pool for free from 10 to 12. They woke up excited to go, then were told it would cost €35. It feels like the hotel charges for everything. The stay itself was reasonably priced, but all the extras make it poor value. Be careful, and add them all up before booking.
