We got to talk with our host about the stay, and he shared some lovely stories about the region. The countryside around Berrie is beautiful too, with great walks. The building itself is impressive, and we were welcomed so warmly. After a cool night there, we had a hearty breakfast, and the meal our host made for us was delicious.

Breakfast was really generous, with homemade jams and honey from a friend of the landlady. The owner was kind and welcoming, and the house sits in a very quiet village among vineyards. Our room was huge, though a little rustic, and there was a peaceful garden.
