Best Western Hotel Fontaine Argent

Our room was roomy for the area, simply furnished but cozy, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious French-style, and served promptly. From the hotel, it was a short, lovely walk to everything.

The little balcony was really cute, and the bathroom was a good size. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had air conditioning. It’s a simple, standard hotel, but worked perfectly for our stay. Breakfast was a small, basic buffet, though quite adequate.

The beds were the reason I’m giving this place more than three stars: airy, high-loft duvets and pillows, quality sheets, and no plastic mattress cover. There’s also good temperature control, and it works quietly. The balcony was large, though it had no table, and there’s a spacious garage with a tram stop right outside. The rest was a mixed bag. The hotel felt stressful and lacked atmosphere, and I’m not sure the staff spoke much English, maybe less than I speak Swahili. It shuts for four hours in the middle of the day. Breakfast meant a crowded coffee machine during the morning rush, in a small room.

Really comfortable, and very clean.
