After a long bike ride, Philippe welcomed us so warmly and helped with all our little needs. We ate at the restaurant, where Sylvie served us a lovely, heartfelt meal. It’s a charming spot by a small pond. I don’t know when we’ll be back in Auvergne, but we’d be very happy to return.

The campsite is well situated and fine for a town site, except for the toilets and showers. They’re in a stuffy, badly laid-out unisex block that smells unpleasant. We’ve paid half as much at two-star sites in France during this holiday and had much better facilities. Those places even had a pool, though a pool isn’t a priority for us.

The staff were friendly, the toilets and showers were clean, and the swimming pool was perfectly fine.

The location is ideal, close to besse and surrounded by nature. The facilities block was clean and the people were friendly. I’d recommend it.
