The view was beautiful, and everything inside was spotless. The bedrooms had plenty of space, and the kitchen was well equipped. Even though we arrived late, the owner gave us a very warm welcome.

We slept well in a comfortable bed, and the July night was cool and quiet. The room and the place were nice. Breakfast was the one thing I’d change: there were very few options and hardly anything homemade.

The valley views were lovely, and the owner was very friendly. Gîte des Deux Chênes worked well for my business stay, with invoices available and Wi-Fi. There’s a large living room with a pellet stove and kitchen, plus spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms. It’s 15 minutes from the A89 motorway. A meal tray with breakfast is available for €18. I had a restful stay and would highly recommend it.

Sophie had put up a lovely wooden Christmas tree and was on hand whenever we needed her. The gîte suited our big family Christmas gathering perfectly, with separate spaces and a terrace overlooking Bessenay. Christmas 2025 is one everyone will remember. 👏👏

We had a peaceful stay with a superb view across the valley, and our host was friendly and flexible when we asked about the key timing. The room matched its description, and breakfast was good. A very warm welcome too. Highly recommended!
