The room had stained bedcovers and was cluttered with the owners’ personal things, including old shoes and underwear, plus used toothbrushes in the bathroom. That felt really unprofessional. The pool was chained shut and the outdoor shower didn’t work. The grounds also had several dirty, messy abandoned buildings full of scrap. When I arrived during the stated check-in window, 3:00-5:00 pm, there was no reception, staff, or even another guest around. I was told to reset the fuse box myself if the power went out again, which isn’t acceptable for a guest.

We had a lovely time at Chambre La Rossillonie, especially with the heated pool, and we still miss the sweet cat. Paula was very friendly and gave us helpful tips about the area. The breakfast was great, too. The cottage sits in the middle of nature and is very old, but it has all the modern essentials.

The pool and big terrace were nice, and the grounds are pretty, though reaching them means taking a rough road where two cars can’t pass. Breakfast was decent, but on Sunday morning we had to make our own coffee. We didn’t get any help finding the room or the pool, either, and there was nobody to welcome us. “Double-Prestige- Prince Charming” sounds grand, but the name didn’t match what was there. The little house had no air conditioning, even with nighttime temperatures around 28°C, and not even a portable unit during the heat wave. The bathroom was basically a closet with a shower and toilet, with a tiny sink in the bedroom. For the price, very poor value.
