Hameaux de Miel Hotel

The staff were friendly and made things easy when we arrived an hour after opening time: they'd left the key and instructions on the door. The lake and the park around it are great, and there are lots of nearby towns and sights to explore. The area is nice, though in mid-June many places were still closed because the holiday season hadn't started. The location itself is great, with a spacious, private layout, and it was very quiet. Our six-person cabin was really more suited to four at most. It was narrow and small, without much room to move around, but it worked perfectly for two adults and a baby. It was clean apart from the foldout sofa mattress, and reasonably stocked, though the four pans came with only one coaster. The outdoor furniture was fine for meals but not relaxing, and the table sags and needs replacing. Getting to the cabin may be tricky for some. There are steps up the hill and a high step onto the deck, which could be difficult if you use a cane. It suited our one-year-old, since he couldn't climb up onto the deck. Dogs are allowed in the beach area, and there's plenty of space for them to swim.

I've been twice and love the area. The chalets are simple, but have everything you need. It's a fabulous place.

The chalet was comfortable and had everything we needed, and the pool was lovely. My children had such a good time that they're already asking to come back. We felt at ease right from arrival thanks to the extraordinary welcome. The manager was very professional, always available, and attentive to guests' well-being. A wonderful stay from start to finish. We'd happily return and recommend it.
