Le Quatre

The house has so much character, and staying there made us feel connected to French history. It’s right in the center, the beds were comfortable, and the pub across the street didn’t bother us. WiFi worked very well. There were five of us in two rooms. Ours had a small balcony and a little room above it with a very good extra bed for our nephew. We also had a kitchen and a lovely living room with 1750s character, where our genial, helpful host served us a fresh breakfast with homemade jams. Our friends were one floor above in a bright, beautifully decorated room with tall windows. It had a good ensuite shower, though the toilet was down the corridor and seemed to be shared with a French family. That worked fine for us. We loved our stay and would come back. Thank you!

Breakfast was lovely, brought to the room whenever we chose, with eggs and bacon available if wanted. There’s also a kettle and hot drinks in the room, and the location is good. The host was lovely and the place well kept. We hadn’t expected the room to be inside the owner’s apartment. It had its own shower but no toilet, so we had to go through his apartment to use one. It was mostly fine, just a little awkward in case we ran into him while half-dressed. On Saturday night especially, close the windows and shutters fully if you want to keep the noise out.

Cute little place. The suite was pretty unique. Maybe not ideal for a couple, but great if you want to get your stair climbing in.

Loved this super cozy place, right in the center with that wild medieval atmosphere. The smell of fresh bread was everywhere, and the view was amazing!
