Hotel OXO

The noise from nearby rooms was pretty horrendous. We could hear doors opening and closing, and even people using the toilet or turning on a tap. Neither of us slept well, and every time someone came or went we were jolted awake. In the end we were up from 4am. The room was OK, a little tight for space but that didn’t bother us. Basic bathroom with a good shower. The man at reception was absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful, and they offer beach towels, which is a bonus. The location is fantastic, close to everything, with lots of restaurants and shops, and the beach about a 10-minute walk away.

The location is incredibly central, close to the beaches and everything you’d want to see in Biarritz. Cafes and cute shops are all around, and there’s a grocery store across the street open until about 9pm, which was so convenient. The room was clean, the air conditioner worked great and changed the temperature quickly after a long, hot beach day. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they held my luggage for free after checkout.

The terrace was a real bonus, especially since the room itself felt a little cramped. The location worked well for us, and breakfast was far more than I expected. The woman at reception was warm and helpful. We had a great stay and would happily come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is charming and very well placed, and although the room is small, it was practical. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was lovely, with local products and fresh, crisp croissants and pain au chocolat from the nearby bakery.
