Ushuaïa Villages Camping Figurotta

After a dip in the lovely pool, we had a couple of beers at the bar. It’s a little oasis up in the hills, and the owners were really helpful. You can walk through the hills to the village, though we didn’t do that. Some pitches are a bit uneven, but nothing we couldn’t manage.

The pool area is lovely, and the pitches are spacious, each with a picnic table. The ground is hard, so bring sturdy pegs. Facilities were clean and looked after, with an open-air feel to most of them. I even didn’t mind doing the washing up here 🤣 We got a very warm welcome, and they were patient with my very limited French. It’s such a shame our tour only gave us one night, as I’d happily have stayed longer. The road outside is mostly quiet, though commuters heading to Narbonne make it a little busier around 07:30. The recent fires took part of the site, but most of it is still intact. They must have been surrounded by the flames. Good luck rebuilding the affected section, and thank you all.

We planned on staying two days, then added another and ended up staying even longer. The owners and staff were fantastic. The pain au chocolat and French baguettes were gorgeous. We’ll definitely come back on our way home ♥️♥️🥖🥐xxx

Yannick and the team were so helpful when we had a mechanical problem. They contacted garages to help get it sorted. We stayed for seven nights in August, and really enjoyed it. The pitches are a good size, the pool is great, and we even tried scuba diving on site. The shower blocks were clean and well maintained. Thanks for the hospitality, Yannick and Samantha. We look forward to staying again.
