The gardens nearby were a highlight for us. We visited and loved seeing different flowers bloom with each season, and the surroundings are stunning. The food was good and the service friendly. The apple sorbet tasted like chewing gum, and the tataki was a little overcooked, but I’d still recommend the place.

The rooms and bathrooms have been renovated since our last visit, and they look fantastic. We were so glad to return to the Griffon after all these years. It’s still in a great spot in a very quiet corner of town, with loads of secure parking. The food was fantastic, there was a great choice of wine, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. We also had a lovely welcome and great service. We’ll definitely be back next year. Linda and Richard Gray
