ibis Styles Bâle-Mulhouse Aéroport

We booked at the last minute while driving back to NL. Staff were very nice and polite, the rooms were clean and big enough, and breakfast was good. It’s only a few minutes from the main Highway and near Mulhouse/Basel airport, with free parking outside.

The breakfast was okay, which is the only reason I’m giving this two stars. We booked mainly because the hotel advertised a free airport shuttle, but it only takes guests to the airport, not from it. Drop-offs might run just once every two hours, so otherwise you’re stuck paying €20 for a taxi to go five minutes down the road. It’s very annoying, since you can’t walk there, and the hotel was no help at all. Service was very poor. Our room was tiny and the shower was rubbish. I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff made the best part of my trip. A kind, knowledgeable man at the front desk helped with my requests, and the room was clean and well kept, with a comfortable bed. In the morning, a courteous receptionist had a delicious breakfast ready and arranged my early shuttle. The ride was enjoyable too, with an interesting conversation. Thank you to the hotel team.

We like to drive at night, so we often arrive VERY late. Being able to stay in the room until midday gives us 6-8 hours of sleep, or more. This hotel is in a very quiet area near the motorway, making it a good overnight stop when traveling between Italy and “northern Europe'. If we arrive too late for breakfast, we can take a tray to the room, since the breakfast room closes at 10 and otherwise we’d have to get up for it. The hotel also accepts pets, which matters to some people. Staff have always been helpful, understanding, accommodating, and friendly, both at the desk and on the phone. We return every year.
