It was perfect for two couples travelling with two babies, and the cottage is close to amenities like a bakery and restaurant. It’s also well placed for exploring the region. The cottage itself is magnificent, with thoughtful decor and all the modern comforts. The Christmas atmosphere was magical, and it felt just like home.

The owners gave us such a warm welcome. If we come back to Alsace, we’ll definitely stay here again. It’s a peaceful place, close to several tourist attractions. This lovely little half-timbered house is in the heart of a small village. The decor is very welcoming, and it has all the modern comforts. We highly recommend it.

Cathie has created a charming, human-sized cottage with simplicity and rest at its heart. I travel for work in every season and value places where you’re welcomed like you’re at home, or even better. This is one of them, with a French art de vivre worthy of the best hotels. Le Nid de Birsa is a beautiful place in the middle of a very quiet Alsatian village, though the neighboring church bells have an old-fashioned, melancholy sound. Inside, the small loft-style space feels serene. The cleanliness is exemplary, right into every nook and cranny. The sheets and bath towels smell wonderfully fresh, and the heating and air conditioning make it very comfortable. Whether you’re travelling for leisure or work, it’s a perfect little nest.
