La Bastide De Sauvetas

We had car trouble, and Valerie and Pascal helped us with everything. They even made dinner that evening though they don’t normally cook then. Valerie is a great cook, and nearly everything is homemade, organic, and from their own garden. The garden is lovely, with lots of nice spots to sit. What a wonderful place and such helpful hosts. Merci beaucoup Valerie et Pascal, we’ll be back. A hug for Lola.

The pool was the disappointment. There were so many wasps that we couldn’t use it or swim, which was a shame since swimming is such a big part of a summer holiday. The country house itself is very pretty, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The two bedrooms are nice, though they share a small bathroom.

We spent four days here and came away feeling completely relaxed. The setting is idyllic, surrounded by orange, fig, olive, and cherry trees, and there’s even a pétanque court. Valérie and Pascal were wonderfully attentive and so calm. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, local, and generous in both quality and quantity. Thank you both. Khad and Pierre

The rooms are spacious and really quiet, and the hosts made us feel welcome. Breakfast deserves a special mention. We were disappointed by the pool, though. It was very small and full of wasps, possibly because there was a nest under the decking around it. We couldn’t enjoy it as much as we’d hoped.
