The tram stops right outside, so getting to central Bordeaux and exploring was easy. The neighborhood is lovely, with lots of good restaurants and a relaxed feel. I actually prefer it to Bordeaux city centre, since it’s a little quieter while still convenient. The hotel is nicely decorated, casual but chic. Breakfast is well prepared, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff are attentive and friendly.

I stayed here twice and was surprised and delighted both times. The rooms are unusually large, comfortable, and have edgy furnishings. The staff speak English and go out of their way to help. The location in Chartrons is excellent, just steps from the river, with a tram stop within a three-minute walk.

This is our Bordeaux home base now, the place we return to whenever we’re in town. If it’s booked, we grumble, look elsewhere, and still try to come back next time. Hotel Indigo is close to all the things we want, but far enough away that we can breathe. Trams, riverside walks, wine bars, and dinners that stretch late are all nearby. The rooms are reliably clean, which is rarer than it should be. The views usually look over the city in every direction or down to the river. Pull back the curtains in the morning and there’s Bordeaux again. The rooftop bar upstairs is the real star, especially in summer. Warm air, cold drinks, and the city glowing at sunset make it a must for us. One tip: you don’t need a hotel key card to get to the seventh-floor rooftop. Just walk in like you belong there, because you do. It’s familiar and dependable, and perfectly placed for slow mornings, long walks, and late nights. This is somewhere we return to, not a flashy one-off stay.

We’ve stayed here twice. It’s a quiet, fun boutique hotel with a Southern California beach feel. The location is great, just steps from the river and tram. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The AC didn’t work in our first room, but it worked great the other time. Staff were accommodating and even brought up a fan. The rooftop restaurant was great too, with good food and drinks, lovely views, and warm staff.
