Hife Bordeaux

This is one of the best places I’ve stayed, and I travel a lot. The building is brand new, and the team has clearly put thought, creativity, and care into the details. The builders seem to have considered everything. I’m not sure what the reviewer who mentioned bedbugs meant, but that wasn’t this Bordeaux property. Since it’s a new facility and they’re technically still building, there have been a few minor issues, like the alarm going off or the television not working. They’ve been quick to fix them. I gave the location four stars because there’s only one bus, the #5, and it runs whenever it wants to.

I moved in yesterday for a long stay, and I’m already really happy here. The room and the vibe from the staff are lovely. Everyone is polite and welcoming, and I don’t mind paying extra because of them. The furniture and facilities are well worth the price. I love this place, and I’m proud of the management team for building such a team. It’s rare to find this in France.

The staff made getting around easy, with helpful advice on the riverfront food options and excellent integrated bus and tram ticketing. They also arranged an early taxi for our 7.00 flight, before the trams were running. Everyone was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. The room was comfortable and breakfast was fine. We initially worried there was no lounge, bar, or restaurant, but found plenty of choice and excellent food at Halle Bacalan.

The apartments are a long way from the action, and there's no air conditioning. Opening the windows didn't make the heat inside any better.
