Hôtel Cardinal

The hotel itself was nice, but it’s hard to get to and staff were rarely around. They charged us for breakfast even though our bill said it was included. Breakfast would have cost less somewhere else, and we felt we could get more for our money at a different place. We won’t be back or recommend it.

We had a good stay, and the service was excellent. Our room with a terrace was cosy and pleasant, in a charming little boutique hotel. The shower doesn’t have a door, so water can spread onto the floor outside and you have to be careful. A door would be a good addition.

A lovely suite and excellent hospitality, with a great location for both the city and car parking. The Clarins toiletries, robes, and slippers were a luxurious touch, and the stay was very good value. We’ll keep coming back when we visit Bordeaux.

The staff made our stay comfortable and enjoyable with their warm welcome, friendly service, and restaurant suggestions. They were happy to help in French or English, and possibly other languages too. Our room was clean and stylish, and even had a terrace. The hotel is a short distance from Bordeaux’s old town centre. There’s no dining room, but continental breakfast and limited room service can be brought to your room, which has a seated dining area. This is an intimate, stylish place with good service and value. It won’t suit you if you want a hotel with a bar, restaurant, gym, business centre, and all those other facilities, but it’s a nice private retreat.
