Hôtel La Zoologie

We were here for a conference and had the conference room, two evening meals, and breakfasts included. It was a charming, eccentric hotel with distinctive rooms, and on the whole we had a good experience. The cleaner's care and attention were excellent, though I spotted some black mould in the shower that could be removed. Our bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast had a reasonable range, and we weren't rushed out when breakfast time ended. Lunch and dinner were usually delicious and sometimes adventurous, with a clearly creative chef. The spa and gym are fairly simple: the steam room and sauna were good, the spa pool was quite small, and the gym could use a couple of weight-bearing machines or extra weights for strength work. The location was convenient, close enough to places of interest and the railway station. We might stay again if our budget allowed.

We needed somewhere near the train station for an early train to Paris, and were very happy with our pick. The hotel is funky and charming, with a cleverly designed room that was extremely comfortable. We ended up staying for dinner after enjoying delicious, creative drinks at the bar. The meal was excellent and beautifully prepared. Two thumbs up!

We stayed in the duplex terrace suite for our honeymoon, and it was a highlight of the trip. The property is beautiful and incredibly distinctive, and the hotel restaurant felt like a high-end experience. We loved the frog legs and the pea royale with seafood emulsion, along with the deep wine list. The drinks and service from the bartender, bar manager, and team made this our favorite place on the trip. The gentleman running the bar was especially engaging and knew as much about cocktails as anyone you'd find. C'est parfait!

The room was ready when I arrived early, so they let me check in ahead of time and freshen up before going out to enjoy the city. It was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and had everything I needed. The staff were super friendly. The hotel la zoologie is an easy walk from the train station, about 8 minutes, but far enough away to avoid the noise. Capucin market is 5 minutes on foot, and the city center takes 10-15 minutes to reach. I'll definitely come back.
