The location was convenient, close to the tram station, and the staff were very helpful. I booked a luxury room and it looked amazing at first, but some details let it down. One hand towel was tattered and had holes, and there were mosquitoes. At bedtime one kept buzzing near my ear, so I was on alert trying to swat them. I also spotted and killed a drain fly in the shower. It may suggest dirty bathroom drains, which was unpleasant and below what I'd expect from a four-star hotel. I appreciate the hotel's apology in its response. Maybe I just had bad timing, but seeing a drain fly still doesn't feel like a good sign, and I hope the hotel takes it seriously.

We had a really nice stay at the Vatel. The staff and rooms were lovely, and breakfast was included and very nice too. Thank you!

The location made getting around easy: tram line B is very close, and both Cité du Vin and central Bordeaux are walkable. Our room was spacious, with a big bed and a comfortable mattress, and the bathroom was roomy too. Staff were friendly, capable, and happy to help.

Carla made our stay so much better. She helped us find our way to places and was ready to take care of whatever we needed. Thanks so much, Carla.

The tram was great, and the stop is really close by. The student/staff member was incredible and clearly very well trained. Our room was great too.
