L' Apparthôtel Particulier Bordeaux

I really liked my room, and the women at reception were so helpful and lovely. Breakfast was the letdown: at 20 euros, I didn’t feel it was worth the price. There was only a croissant, some bread, yogurt, and fruit, and nobody seemed to be looking after guests. The women working there stayed in the back talking most of the time. For a better breakfast under 20 euros, try Sip Coffee down the street. The food is better.

The only disappointment was that I stayed just one night. I took the loft room, which was spacious and had cooking utensils, and the receptionist was attentive and made sure we were doing well. The hotel is very close to the Cathedral, and taking the tram was much easier than a taxi or Bolt, even with lots of luggage. One of the most enjoyable stays of my trip to France.

The courtyard was so full of smokers that we couldn't leave the windows open, and there was hardly ever anyone at the front desk. Although the location is fairly convenient, the room felt rundown, odd, and thrown together. Breakfast at 20€ each was a rip-off. I'm baffled by the positive reviews. The whole stay was disappointing and sad, since the place could have been so much nicer. I wouldn't stay here again.

The historical building had so many unique touches, and the room was one of the most spectacular I've ever stayed in. I would've spent a whole extra day just taking it all in. Staff were accommodating about our late check-in and left thoughtful notes and treats in the room. Getting to local tourist spots was easy. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!
