Hôtel Isola

The staff were lovely, which is why I'm giving it two stars. The food was really bad, the pool and poolside showers were filthy, and the hallways and rooms smelled. They even made us hand over the remote at checkout. Wouldn't recommend it, it felt like a cheap package-holiday place.

We stayed a week in a clean, new, modern apartment. The beach was quiet and clean, the pool area had a modern style, and the airport was close. It was very quiet, with nothing going on. Staff were helpful, and the restaurant food was good, but eating outside meant dealing with aggressive wasps.

We stopped here on our first day in Corsica after coming off the ferry. The place looks nice from outside, but our room was very old and only so-so. It sits in an industrial area, so don't expect pleasant surroundings or views. At €180 for a double room, it was way overpriced. On the regular market, maybe €70 would be reasonable, but certainly not over €150.

Isola is handy if you need somewhere around 10 minutes from the airport, with a beach about five minutes away. Special thanks to the ladies at reception ❤, and to the bald grump behind the counter.
