Bénédicte made our stay feel special by sharing her passion for the history of the chateau and its gardens. The owners were so welcoming, and breakfast was delicious, with nothing feeling like too much trouble. Set in peaceful countryside but still near places to eat in the village, Chateau du Boschet is a beautifully restored gem. Its magnificent rooms are all styled differently, giving you a real sense of what life in the 17th century might have been like.

I went during the 2025 Heritage Days and left feeling I’d spent too much for too little. The €15 evening tour felt uninteresting, and the guide had a rather eccentric personality. The building’s quality didn’t really come through, partly because the multicolored spotlights inside and outside spoiled the experience. I know you can’t please everyone, but for me it was a waste of time and money.

Bénédicte has done extraordinary work, and we can’t wait to take part in the next event. The association members had a chance to explore the fabulous castle and its gardens during a trip back in time. We had an amazing time at the Puss in Boots Costume Party, it really felt like stepping into another era!

After a delicious breakfast, the sunshine made it lovely to wander around the park, with beautiful scenery and views. We’re residents of Bourg-des-Comptes, and spent our wedding night at this castle. It was a beautiful experience, with welcoming owners who shared what they know about the castle’s history. The atmosphere lets you step back in time for a while. A place to see and experience!
