Hôtel Taj-I Mah by Les Etincelles

Carina, I hope I've got your name right, made us feel so welcome and upgraded our room. It was stunning, with a fabulous mountain view that felt almost magical. Anthony was also so friendly and helpful with the menus and wine pairing. The food was amazing. We spent six nights at the beginning of February, and the whole stay was incredible from start to finish. This is the best ski hotel I've stayed at. The location is incredible too. I rarely write reviews, but if you're considering booking, do it. Merci Beaucoup!!!

After skiing, the spa was just right, with a sauna, steam room, pool, jacuzzi and salt room. Massages are offered, though they're quite expensive. Ski rental and storage are available at the hotel. We booked through Sunweb and thought the package was excellent value for what it included. Couples wanting a relaxing, well-cared-for ski holiday would likely enjoy it. It may suit families with young children less well, unless they eat elsewhere. We spent six nights here and felt relaxed and looked after. The hotel deserves its five stars. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like daily water, evening turndown and sweets. Mari at reception was especially kind and attentive. The ski-in, ski-out position at the edge of Arc 2000 was excellent, with several lifts easy to reach and the village nearby. We were on half board and ate at Table du Taj-i-Mah each evening. The six-course menu was consistently tasty and high quality, and the cheese selection was fantastic, Reblochon is a must. Portions were sometimes a little small and service could be slow, but the dining was excellent overall. Nicholas was particularly attentive and noticed even the smallest details. Breakfast had plenty of options too.

The staff were impeccable, always friendly, charming and incredibly helpful. They really made our ski holiday, and we can't thank them enough. The hotel's stylish elegance on the slopes and its location are spot on for literal ski-in, ski-out access.

We didn't actually stay at the hotel, but we did eat at the restaurant. Nicolas looked after us really well. We shared a steak, which he carved in front of us, and he skilfully deboned and prepared a fish. The food was fantastic. When my brother got his hands dirty on the meat bone, Nicolas brought lemon water and a towel to help him clean up.
