There’s a bedroom on the ground floor with an odor problem, though I hope they sort it out soon. Apart from that, this is a very nice and comfortable cottage with everything well equipped. Its five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and five toilets make it ideal for 10 people.

A great fit for a big family or group. We rented the whole house through Airbnb and loved it. The bedrooms are comfortable, each with a shower and toilet, and the kitchen has everything you need. The pool is heated, and the owners make very good champagne too.

The kitchen and dining room are perfect. But this is now a self-catering cottage, not a bed and breakfast. The taps in the upstairs bedrooms need replacing, as do the skylights. There’s no door to the bathroom in the twin room, so when you step out of the shower you’re right at the foot of the bed opposite.

The shared kitchen was available for preparing and eating meals on site, which was handy. I had a great week in summer 2020, with a very friendly welcome and a full breakfast each morning. The small room had all the comforts I needed. The champagne offered for sale was very good, and it’s all in a pretty little village. I recommend it.

The owners of Les Impériales were welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The guesthouse is in the village of Bourseault, where you can admire the Château de la Veuve Clicquot, and it’s only 20 minutes from central Épernay. A charming place with modern comforts, beautiful rooms, and a different decor in each one.
