Room 2 was spotless, with plenty of space for our things and a game of backgammon. We stayed a couple of nights while heading to the Pyrenees, and Des Chouchou is perfectly placed for enjoying Brantôme. The food was the highlight: we ate there one night and immediately wished we’d eaten there both nights. It was the best meal we’ve had in years, with interesting, tasty dishes and generous portions. Louise said the figs were her favorite dessert ever. Shame they weren’t available on Tuesday. Breakfast was great too, with fresh and dried fruit. The whole stay was delightful, and I’d happily return. If you’re reading this, I really recommend a visit.

The rooms were modern and comfortable, and the price felt very fair for the quality. We spent a lovely long weekend in beautiful Brantome, a stunning little French town. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the chef clearly knows his craft, with thoughtful, interesting choices on the menu and real care in the cooking. Highly recommended.

The rooms were exceptional, the food even better, and the service was the best we’ve experienced in France. Julien and his team made us feel welcome and looked after from the moment we walked in. Merci beaucoup for such a wonderful stay.

Right in the middle of brantome, so the shops, restaurants, and lovely park are all close by. The whole property is gorgeous, and the owners were brilliant, making us feel at home and happily accommodating our needs. Do eat at the hotel restaurant if you stay, it was the best food I’ve eaten. I’d absolutely recommend this place and will definitely come back myself.
