Logis Hotel Charbonnel

The Friday market was a lovely surprise, just a short walk from the hotel. We also had a fabulous room, exceptionally clean, with gorgeous furnishings and a great balcony view. Breakfast was superb, with more high-quality local produce beautifully presented. We arrived before 3pm and relaxed outside at a lovely table overlooking the river with a cool beer for my birthday. The charcuterie board was divine, and the produce was top quality. The staff were wonderful throughout. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

We were glad we trusted our host’s invitation to take us on a gastronomic journey of discovery. The seven-course menu was stunning to look at and to taste, and the whole evening was brilliant. We came as four and had booked ahead, which I’d highly recommend. We started with an aperitif on the riverside terrace while it was still warm, then ate inside. The atmosphere was superb, and the staff were friendly, helpful, relaxed, and professional from arrival to departure. The service was efficient, with a team clearly at the top of their game. We’ll definitely return.

Breakfast was a delight, with plenty of choice and high-quality produce presented beautifully. I had a bit of most things. Our balcony room was clean and very comfortable, with a lovely view. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were very helpful, taking care of every part of our stay.

The room was the real problem. For close to 200 eur, we got a smelly, rickety 14m2 space with the bathroom, toilet, wardrobe, a small double bed, and bedstand crammed in. There wasn’t room to open a suitcase, or frankly even to move. The price/value proposition felt more outrageous than even Paris 1er or 6eme arr. I’d have dinner on the terrace, but wouldn’t spend time or money on the accommodations. The restaurant served exceptional French cuisine and the staff were impeccable, with one exception: the sommelier, whose qualifications and integrity seemed questionable, perhaps because of unethical incentives, or a combination of these. Be warned, don’t crack expensive vintage wines there.
