The hotel is well maintained, and the surroundings are beautiful, with a lovely garden and pool. The stay itself was stressful because the owners have so many rules. As we were getting ready to leave at the strict 11am checkout, they told us to leave the premises. Our son was still in the pool and nobody else was using it, but they wouldn’t let him stay a little longer. I’ve never come across a less hospitable couple. They should get rid of the hotel, this job isn’t for them.

This is a nice part of France with plenty of outdoor activities, but we wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel. The property and garden are lovely, with a swimming pool and direct access to a river where you can canoe. The rooms were dated but clean. It’s isolated and fairly quiet, apart from some noise from the busy road nearby, which didn’t bother us. The owners, an elderly couple, seem so attached to the property that they prohibit almost everything. You can’t use the terrace or certain parts of the hotel after 7pm, bring food into your room, or have drinks around the pool. If you’ve been caught in the rain, you can’t even come inside in wet clothes because the parquet might get damaged. There are restrictions for everything, and no help or attention if you’re short of something. They make you feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and stressed, as if they simply don’t want you there. You might as well just come in, pay, and leave. If you arrive at 19h and leave just after breakfast, which is served until 9H20 max, then maybe you’re the ideal guest. We won’t be back.

A nice place, but the manager was awful.

The park is well maintained, the swimming pool is decent, and the place is very pretty, overlooking the Roya River. Rooms are clean and kept up, though they feel a little dated. Breakfast was good, with just the right amount. The man at reception wasn’t very welcoming, while the woman did her job properly.
