The garden view was mostly weeds and overgrown shrubs, and the bar fridge barely felt cold against the room temperature. Wi-Fi connected, but smoke signals might have worked better. There was only one bathroom towel, so I had to go back to reception for another. We booked the ground-floor suite for extra space and to avoid hauling suitcases up stairs during a five-week trip. We also expected the advertised facilities to make the extra cost worthwhile. Instead, when I asked where the washer and dryer were, the manager or owner just smiled vaguely and said they would run a load in their own machine. It wasn't available for guests to use. After we'd gone out for a castle tour, another guest was being shown into our room when we returned. This "hotel" felt like the Fawlty Towers of France. For what we paid, it was a total rip-off. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Everything felt so warm, just how we like it. Thank you! P.S. Even the eggs at breakfast were welded, and I cook for myself.

A little dated, but still a comfortable hotel. It's close to the castle and works well for an overnight stay during the annual balloon festival.
