A walk around the neighborhood was interesting, and the hotel itself is quiet among the trees. The rooms are large and comfortable, with trees right outside the window. Breakfast was good, and the dinner suggestions were excellent.

We visited in January 2026 and were struck by the building's architecture and the thoughtful refurbishment of this wonderful chateau. We hadn't realized when booking that there was no evening restaurant, only room service, which may have been because it was out of season. Also, with so little heating, it was hard to get warm inside in January, so bring your jumpers. That's a shame, since otherwise I'd have given it 5 stars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our days there. The setting is beautiful, breakfast and coffee were delicious, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. They also gave us helpful information about the area. Amazing hospitality.

We spent a relaxing time on the terrace, and there are lots of quiet corners around the hotel too. The bedroom and bathroom were high quality, with wonderfully comfortable bedding and a very quiet room. Breakfast was generous and excellent. Iwona and the team were welcoming and helpful, and looked after us extremely well. Chateau Lacan is a quiet, comfortable place to stay in a beautiful, characterful chateau, and it was great value for money. We'd definitely recommend it.

They did everything they could to make our three days a success during the COVID lockdown. Fantastic hotel. We had an awesome stay and would definitely come again.
