The night porter was the standout, a great bloke with brilliant manners and customer service. The staff who checked me in around 1900hrs were okay, though the girls earlier were less so. Breakfast was a big letdown. My company usually only covers a Budget, so I’d been looking forward to a Styles breakfast, but I was very disappointed. The scrambled eggs were dry and almost gone, the streaky bacon was badly overcooked, and the espresso was weak and poor quality. Being able to boil your own eggs was the best part. The rest was underwhelming, and I probably should have just gone to the budget Ibis.

We had an enjoyable stay. The family room booking turned out to be two connecting rooms, which was a nice surprise. Both rooms were a reasonable size, the bathrooms were clean, and breakfast had plenty of choice.

We found it fairly good value and would stay again. The hotel is quite new, in an out-of-town shopping and commercial area with plenty of walkable restaurants, mostly chains, and a large Carrefour nearby. It’s easy to reach the autoroute and a straightforward drive into central Brive. Our room was clean and quiet, the WiFi signal was good, and breakfast was included as a self-serve buffet, mostly good quality. All the staff were helpful and welcoming.

I liked the clean room and the good location. One thing took away from the stay a little: room cleaning gets going actively at 9 am, and the roommaids try to come in even though checkout is at 11 am.

Just west of Brive, the hotel is in a good spot, with local restaurants and a supermarket nearby and the motorway only 2 minutes away. Our room was nice and clean, with three beds, a double and a single bunk, plus a shower and WC inside. It cost a few €uros more than hotels with toilets at the end of the corridor, but was well worth it.
