Brit Hotel Ker Lann Aeroport - Parc Expo

We booked two nights to make it easy to visit Mont St Michel and expected a basic airport hotel. It turned out much better than that. The rooms were simple but clean, with a nice basic bathroom, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good, and the food was nice. The spaces between the entrance and the other areas were also laid out really nicely. The hotel felt more like a three star place delivering what you’d expect from a four star one, which was a pleasant surprise. There’s also a really nice hotel attached to the parking area. When we arrived, we were given a free upgrade from the room we’d booked.

The room was clean and nice, and the pool and spa were great. The free airport shuttle advertised by the hotel only runs after 7 am, though. If you have an early flight, arrange dependable transport another way. Taxis are hard to find, and so are Ubers.

After ten hours on the road with our two little kids, aged two and four, we just needed somewhere to rest. They always sleep with us, and we’d booked one room with a large bed. The hotel said all four of us couldn’t stay in that room because it wasn’t allowed. They had no other room, so they sent us away and told us to find another hotel, in the afternoon on a day in August. Even one star feels like too much.

It’s a nice, fresh, new hotel, and breakfast had a very complete buffet. The gym is small, with a treadmill, rowing machine and bike. The treadmill wasn’t working, and there were no dumbbells or weights, so I couldn’t do my usual strength workout. That was a bit disappointing.
