We ended up adding two more nights because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Patrick and Francoise made the stay feel especially warm, with thoughtful, professional hospitality and useful ideas for hikes and places to see nearby. The historic house has been renovated with real style, and the rooms and shared spaces feel generous and sophisticated. We loved relaxing in the peaceful garden and terrace, and breakfast was wonderful each morning. One of our best experiences after years of travelling in Europe. Highly recommended.

We accidentally left a few things behind, and the owners have been so kind and helpful about getting them back to us. We really appreciated it. The Saturday market was a lovely part of the stay, and breakfast was tasty. Our large, comfortable room had been beautifully renovated inside a historic house in the old town, with restaurants and the river an easy walk through the narrow streets. We were given a wonderfully friendly welcome.

Patrick suggested some lovely hikes, including scenic side routes we would otherwise have missed. The way he and Françoise organized the dining hours also made us feel safe and relaxed: guests could have the dining room to themselves, without barriers between tables. At L’Ancienne Cure, they’ve kept a generous, welcoming atmosphere while taking the precautions needed for a healthy stay, which stood out when so many places had closed or felt stripped back. Thanks for giving us just the memorable, much-needed break we needed.

The owners were attentive and charming, and we loved having breakfast in the beautiful garden. The restoration is superb. Our room was quiet, roomy, comfortable, and well-equipped. Everything was perfect.
