Le Moulin de Sonnailles

The breakfast was good, but we were disappointed with our stay at Le Moulin de Sonnailles. The website says housekeeping is daily, but our room wasn't cleaned at all, even though we put out the sign asking for service. We were told it was because of covid, but that felt disappointing on vacation. They should either update the website to say there's no daily housekeeping or provide it. Some of the lights that are supposed to come on when you return after dark didn't work, so we were glad to have our phones. There was a kettle for heating water, but no coffee at all in the room. The innkeeper said we could get brewed coffee from them, though someone waking up early might not want to knock on their door for it. Getting luggage from the car park to the room over the gravel was also very hard. We only later found out we could drive over it, and the entrance was blocked when we arrived.

A super pretty, laid-back B&B in a lovely location. Our room was wonderful and just right for two adults, our 2-year-old, and our dog. They served the amazing breakfast in our room. Merci beaucoup!

The rooms were lovely, breakfast was delightful, and our hostess was so gracious. We only found Le Moulin de Sonaille by chance after our plans changed, and it turned into a wonderful experience.

We'd definitely come back. The owner was so welcoming, and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. There’s a big garden and a pool, with a private garden area too. The rooms are decorated with a strong theme, and breakfast felt like a dream.
