The room was warm and cozy on a winter night, thanks to the very good heating, and it was spacious with a tasteful finish. The old hotel has a lovely large bathroom with a beautiful classic tub in the middle. The reception lady was so welcoming, and the location is superb, right across from the train station. It's about a five-minute walk to the commercial street, where we found lots of restaurants and cafes. Parking was easy, either on the road or in the hotel's own ungated spaces. Highly recommend it.

I first ate at this restaurant twenty years ago, twice, and both the food and the people running it were fantastic. Coming back after all this time, I had lunch and dinner and stayed overnight. The place is clean and comfortable, and it's run professionally. The owners and wait staff are friendly, professional, and genuinely hospitable. The restaurant food is very good, and it's excellent value overall. The air conditioning was especially useful in the heat.

We were disappointed with our two-night stay, and I know this review will disappoint you too. The hotel may have character, but all the worn, deteriorated surfaces don't add up to character for me. It was also very noisy given where it is. Sorry, we just didn't feel the love.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is good, and there is parking. It could probably use an update.

Back again in June 2023, this time in a different room with an amazing bathroom. For many years, this has been the most beautiful hotel I've stayed in. It's a grand Belle Epoque house turned into a hotel in 1911, still owned by the same family, with wonderful Art Deco decor. The bar is a marvel, the bedrooms are clean and stylish, and the terrace is a great spot for an afternoon drink. Everyone on staff was genuinely friendly and extremely helpful. I really enjoyed breakfast, and I'll write separately about the Bistro 1911. The hotel is very conveniently placed for both the station and Cahors' wonderful old city.
