Logis Cottage Hotel Calais

The room was very cramped and felt suffocating, and there was visible mold on the shower curtain. At this price, that level of hygiene is unacceptable. You can find much better rooms nearby for the same price or less. The payment issue was even more frustrating. I had already paid through Booking.com, so I expected to owe only the difference at checkout. The hotel asked for the full amount again. I assumed it was a mistake and paid, then found out I'd been charged twice. Booking.com told me the hotel hadn't initially charged the virtual card, but charged it later, after I'd paid in person. As far as I can tell, the hotel took the money twice. They ignored Booking.com's repeated attempts to reach them about it, and I still haven't been refunded. I've had to start a formal dispute. This was extremely disappointing. I consider it dishonest business practice, and strongly advise anyone thinking of staying here to look elsewhere. There are cleaner, more trustworthy options nearby, and you can save yourself the headache.

I appreciated that the place was run by women. They handled my dietary restrictions perfectly and made us feel very welcome. But I couldn't sleep at night because other people were running around and even knocking on our doors. I didn't feel very safe.

Mandy gave us great service and a warm, kind welcome. Good value for money.

The food was simple but good, and reception was friendly. Parking was easy, and it was convenient for the Eurotunnel.
