The welcome is warm, and it’s the kind of charming, peaceful spot people seem to know and love. For breakfast there’s a kitchen, plus Wi-Fi, free parking, a desk, linens, a TV, a washing machine, and a welcome tray at reception. A consistently nice place to spend a holiday.

I’ve recommended this guesthouse to friends for a wedding and to family for a reunion, and I even mention it on my personal website. So when I read Ka Kanda’s harsh review, I wondered whether we’d stayed at the same place. It’s clean and quiet, and the owners are discreet and efficient, just as other reviews say. I had a small issue myself and spoke to the owners directly; it was sorted out, and I won’t go into details here. The owners are sculptors, and they even gave me useful advice about sculpture. Speaking as a very, very satisfied customer, I wanted to make my disagreement clear. Gérard.

The view over the Mayenne river is magnificent, and the place has a lovely, distinctive feel. The owner gave us a very warm welcome. I’d happily go there.

You can book for one night or stay longer, and the area is quiet. The service was very friendly. There are also activities like boat trips, boat rentals, and a jacuzzi.

The owner was incredibly kind. The cottage is lovely and unusual, with a staircase, markets, and a stone wall.
