Our stay started terribly. At check-in, the receptionist spoke to me very rudely and impertinently, said I had no reservation, and threw me out. I spent two hours waiting outside while trying to find my “supposed reservation,” which was obviously with you. On our last day, before leaving, we found what looked like rat droppings under the bed and in a few other places. Since we were leaving and wouldn’t have to deal with a rat in the apartment, we didn’t want to make a fuss. We understood that in the countryside some animals might get in, and didn’t assume it was due to poor hygiene. In good faith, we took photos and politely told the receptionist that a rat had been through the room. Now you’re accusing us of bringing an animal, apparently a rabbit. We were alone, without any animal, the whole time. Our neighbors can confirm that: we were on the terrace much of the time, with the balcony doors wide open. If we’d had an animal, they would have seen it come out. You also sent photos of droppings from an animal whose species we can’t identify, but we certainly didn’t bring it. The urine looks red, like rat urine, while rabbit urine is yellow. Rat and rabbit droppings are hard to tell apart, so I can’t say more about that. In any case, we brought no rabbits, and the apartment was full of rats. You charged us an extra 200 euros for all this, which seems completely unreasonable. As I said, I find it outrageous and undignified, and it says a lot about the kind of people you are. We also wanted to write a complaint letter, which is a compulsory condition for your aparthotel. We asked several times for you to send it so we could sign and return it, but you haven’t answered. That makes me think you either don’t have the form or don’t want to give it to me, and either way I believe that’s illegal. Your service leaves a lot to be desired in every way. You’ll have to make a great effort to catch up with the competition.
