The location is a real plus, right at the foot of the city with services all around, and you can reach the city on foot. All the bedrooms have air conditioning, which is essential in August. There are maintenance issues, though. The wardrobes have broken doors, some light bulbs are missing, and the shower is old. The rooms are tastefully furnished but have no wardrobes or extra furniture for clothes, so you have to leave them in your suitcase. One bedroom does have a wardrobe, but its doors and a shelf are broken. Cleaning was otherwise fine, but the sofas and sun lounger had quite a few stains and could use a proper clean or covers. Since the building is old and the renovation may not have been done as well as it should, there’s quite a sewage smell in the entrance and shower.

Despite the restaurants on the street, the apartment was very quiet. It’s nicely laid out and in a great spot, very close to the city of Carcassonne. I’d definitely stay there again if I return. Thanks to our host.
