Campanile Carcassonne Est La Cite

We stayed for a weekend in November 2025. Breakfast had a good range, and the room was clean, but it was cold because the heating wasn't working. When we told reception, they asked us to come by and collect a small heater. The sofa bed made a strange sound whenever we moved on it. The location is a long way from the main attractions: a 30-minute walk to the medieval city and 45 minutes to the city center. Buses don't run all the time, especially on weekends when they're most needed. There was no kettle, tea or coffee in the room. They provide shampoo only, so bring conditioner or body lotion if you need those.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was immaculate, the staff were welcoming and helpful, and the pool was a lovely extra. There's no kettle in the room, but they brought us one when we asked. It's a quiet spot about a 30-minute walk from the medieval city. The surrounding retail park is a bit shabby, and with the busy road and poor footpaths, a taxi or bus is the safer way to get around.

The pool is nice, staff are friendly and helpful, and both breakfast and dinner were good. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Keep in mind that dinner isn't served on Saturdays or Sundays. Getting to the cite is a bit too far for an easy walk back in the heat. There are no buses after 7pm or on Sundays, and taxis don't seem to exist.

We had a spacious, clean room and slept well. Breakfast was tasty, with a good selection. We had our dog with us and staying here was no problem. Other guests had dogs too, yet it stayed quiet for everyone. There are grassy areas around the hotel and across the street for walking a dog. There's a parking lot if you're driving. The pool was closed for maintenance during our visit. It's a clean, nice place to stay in the area, and we'd recommend it and come back.
