The location is the one good thing. We stayed one night with family, and I’m glad it was only one. Everything feels cheap, the faucets are falling apart, and the beds are uncomfortable with pillows as thin as paper. The blinds don’t close properly, so you have to sleep with the streetlights in your face. Basic supplies like oil, vinegar and hand soap were missing. The parking pass didn’t work, and when we contacted the owner for help, they didn’t reply. Is the location enough to make up for all that? No. As a French native, I don’t think the apartment is worth the asking price. You can see the medieval city in a day, so there’s really no need to rent somewhere right there. I don’t recommend it.

The location was great, and it was okay for a short stay, but we probably won’t be back since there are much better options. It wasn’t ready when we arrived, with dirty bedding and things everywhere. Several items were broken, including the clock, kettle and coffee machine, and the shower worked intermittently. There was a really unpleasant smell coming from the drains. The place felt a bit tatty and could use a deep clean and some freshening up.

Parking was about a kilometer away, which was a real inconvenience, and the listed dryer wasn't there. The Wi-Fi also wouldn't work. The apartment itself is good, but Carcassonne's old town felt like a graveyard at night, with very little to do. I wasn't impressed.

The bedding was excellent, and the apartment was lovely and in a great spot. Since it's right in the city, there was some noise, which is to be expected, though the place itself is very pretty. Light sleepers may want earplugs, and if you need complete darkness, bring an eye mask. I found both tips useful. I'd read some reviews and packed toilet paper, bin bags, and hand soap, but none of that was needed. Free parking is available, though the GPS couldn't find the second street. Check the photos the owner sends and you'll be able to locate it. Thanks for a lovely night.

Free parking sits outside the city walls, about 200 meters from the main entrance. The loft itself is right in the historic heart of Carcassonne, spotless and very functional, with comfortable space for four. It made a wonderful base for wandering the charming streets.
