The room was plain but very clean, with a spotless bathroom. The beds sagged oddly, perhaps because the box spring was inadequate or missing, but they were firm and we slept well. It was very quiet, just right for sleeping. We liked the morning coffee, though we’re not fans of the usual French, Spanish, or Andorran breakfast buffet, so we skipped that. The hotel was a good find at a reasonable rate. Both receptionists, evening and morning, were pleasant and responsive. The evening receptionist spoke Spanish as a second language, so we used that to communicate. The woman in the morning put me at ease with my French, which I appreciated. They both knew enough English if that’s your only language.

The main drawback is its light industrial location. Still, this three-star hotel worked well for a short visit to Carcassonne, France, and I’d definitely recommend it for 1-2 days. The manager and staff were five-star, and the evening meals were good.

We slept really well, and the room had everything we needed. The small terrace and garden access were great for our dog, and having free parking was a bonus. Very good value for money.

It’s a standard tourist hotel, but the friendly, helpful staff are what made our stay excellent. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty of choices and locally made jams. The hotel is about 1.5 km from the castle and roughly 2.5 km from the city centre. There’s also a fast public EV charger less than 1 km away, at a nearby BMW forecourt. I’d certainly recommend it to friends and family staying in Carcassonne.

There’s private parking, the rooms are clean, and although breakfast isn’t very big, the products are really good quality. A perfect spot for a night or two if you want to visit Carcassone, about a 25-minute walk from the hotel.
