Katy and Olivier made us feel so welcome, and Olivier’s breakfasts were outstanding. The rooms have been renovated to a high standard and are beautifully decorated. The Maison du Canal du Midi is in a peaceful, lovely spot, just an easy 5 minute walk from the train station. Treat yourself to a proper French b&b instead of a soulless hotel.

We stayed three nights and could happily have moved in. Katy and Olivier have made the coziest chambre d’hôte right on the Canal du Midi, with impeccable design and breakfasts to die for. We liked it enough to buy a place nearby! I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I’ll be ordering the mattress they use in the rooms too.

The courtyard is stunning, and we loved having breakfast there each morning. The food was beautifully presented and restaurant quality. Our room was cosy and meticulously clean, with an excellent shower. The hotel sits in a lovely, quiet spot by the canal, close to the train station, and everything was walkable. Katie and Olivier were exceptional hosts who gave us all the information we needed to make the most of Carcassonne. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated.

Katy and Olivier made an excellent homemade breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, with an antique design, and the train station was just a few minutes’ walk away. We’ll definitely come back ❤️

Katy Olivier and Lola were warm and welcoming, and gave us really helpful local tips. We left feeling completely relaxed after a magnificent breakfast, and we’re already dreaming about coming back. The house is spotless, full of charm, and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Right by the peaceful canal, it’s also well placed for exploring the medieval cité. We especially loved the outdoor space, a perfect sun trap, and the cozy original interiors. Such a special place, five stars without hesitation.
