Carcassonne is a lovely little place, and the apartment’s roof terrace looks out over the medieval city.

We really liked the view, and the apartment was spotless. It has a terrace and sits in a handy spot in Carcassonne, about a 16-minute walk from the medieval citadel and five minutes from the city center. The owner was warm and welcoming.

We stayed for two weeks and had everything we needed, from towels and sheets to kitchen gear, an iron, and a washing machine. The flat matched the photos, and everything ran on time and as agreed. We got a friendly welcome and loads of extra tips, including places to eat and things to see. It’s close to both the old and new centers, as well as bakeries, butchers, and supermarkets. Ideal!
