The apartment had everything we needed and was very nicely presented. Alex was helpful, accommodating, and spoke perfect English. We enjoyed his wine tasting event in the shop below the apartments. The location is ideal, with eateries and restaurants no more than a five minute walk away, and the medieval city about 25 minutes on foot. What a gem.

We’ve stayed here twice and loved it both times. The apartment has a French shabby chic feel, is comfortable and well equipped for two, and sits almost on Place Carnot. We parked at Gambetta, about 300 metres away, and thought the secure parking was a bargain. The hosts were great, and there are fantastic towns to explore nearby. That bloody Abbey at Lagrasse is never open, but what a town. Carcassonne itself is a quintessential French experience. We hoped to come back this year, but we’re in COVID lockdown in Australia, so hopefully 2021. Alex, save us a couple of good reds for when we get there. Hope you’re travelling okay.

Right in the city centre, but there are lots of stairs. We were on the top floor, so it wouldn’t suit anyone with mobility issues.

We had a fantastic four days in this central apartment. It’s in an old building, but it’s been renovated well and has everything you need. A great fit for two people, though there’s no elevator. The owner, who also runs the wine shop, was very friendly.
