La maison du rocher

Carine was attentive at breakfast and gave us great suggestions for places to see during our stay. The French breakfast was delicious, and the house is beautiful, with a big outdoor pool.

Our grandmother's 70th birthday weekend with the extended family was lovely. The owners even gave her gifts, which touched all of us, and we're already thinking of coming back soon. The building feels warm and inviting, the welcome was fantastic, and the rooms were spacious, clean and bright. The common room was clean and had a distinctive feel, with everything we needed. From both the upstairs and downstairs rooms, the view was breathtaking. We had a wonderful time at the pool, with its magnificent outlook. It deserves five stars easily. A couple of things could be better. The railing beside the pool didn't feel safe at all, as my niece could fit through the bars. Breakfast was included, but for our taste the selection wasn't broad or generous enough, especially for a group of 15. More pastries, milk, basic jams and spreads would have helped. It was just enough, though the owner brought milk as soon as we asked. We came the first weekend in June. The pool was a bit cold, so we hoped to use the jacuzzi the owners had just installed. The water didn't look very clear before we got in. After we raised the temperature, the owner said it had turned green because of that and had to be drained. So we only got one evening to enjoy it, which was a shame. These comments are only meant to help the owners improve things if they want to, and aren't intended to offend them.

The countryside views were magnificent, and our hostess couldn't have been more attentive. It's a beautiful guesthouse just outside the city, with a superb breakfast.

We felt very welcome at this lovely house, with its heated pool and views across the valley. During Covid, it was useful that the big common room had enough space for every bedroom to have its own table, fridge and dishes.
