Getting to the guest rooms from the parking area means taking a path through the garden, which could feel like a bit of a trek, though the hosts are happy to help. The narrow village streets may be intimidating if you’re not comfortable driving, and anyone with mobility issues should check with Monique first for advice. That said, the peaceful setting is wonderful. We stayed just one night, in the family room with two adults and our 10-year-old. It was spacious, spotless, and calm, and the hosts were warm and welcoming without hovering. The beautiful garden leads to the property, and the village itself is so charming. I’d wondered how a place that had been around for years could have such a high rating without negative reviews. Now I understand. I thought about taking photos for my review, but the owners’ pictures are honest and representative, so I didn’t see the need. We’re planning to return for a few days and explore the area.

Don’t hesitate to stop at Les Perluètes. I got such a warm welcome from my hosts, especially when I arrived with my bicycle. In this picturesque village, it was a lovely surprise. The room was simple but very comfortable, with its own toilet and bathroom. Breakfast was generous, with delicious orange juice and waffles.

Breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care, including a little glass of Quercy strawberries and freshly made waffles. The hosts welcomed us so well that we’d love to come back, this time for longer. It’s a peaceful, magnificent setting, and the room is tastefully decorated. The bedding was top-notch, and everything had been thought through for our comfort.

Carennac is a magnificent village. We only spent one night at this great cottage, where all three bedrooms look out onto the beautiful garden and swimming pool. Breakfast was included in the price and very good. Thanks to the hosts, we’ll definitely come back.
